Munds Park, approximately 20 miles south of Flagstaff, is a quaint mountain community known for its friendly atmosphere and outdoor recreation opportunities. It serves as a gateway to the Coconino National Forest, offering visitors and residents alike access to miles of scenic trails ideal for hiking, biking, and off-road adventures.

The town itself features amenities such as cozy lodges, charming cafes, and rustic campgrounds, making it a perfect basecamp for exploring the surrounding wilderness. Whether you’re enjoying a leisurely stroll through the pine-lined streets or gearing up for an adrenaline-pumping UTV ride, Munds Park welcomes you with its laid-back charm and natural beauty.

One of the highlights of our event is the ride to the Edge of the World, a trail that offers a dramatic overlook of the surrounding landscapes. Here, at the edge of the Mogollon Rim within the Coconino National Forest, participants can marvel at sweeping views that stretch across the Verde Valley, capturing the essence of Arizona’s rugged beauty. From this vantage point, you can see the stunning red rock formations of Sedona and the unique, Jenga-like rock formations that dot the landscape.

Additionally, riders can embark on a scenic journey to Mormon Lake, a unique feature of the Coconino National Forest. While known as a lake, Mormon Lake is often dry during the summer months, revealing vast expanses of cracked mud where elk graze and other wildlife roam. This ephemeral lake bed provides a striking contrast against the surrounding forested landscape, offering riders a glimpse into the dynamic and diverse ecosystems of Arizona’s high country.
